IICRC – Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification – held their Legislative Fly-In in Washington DC, 1 & 2 September, inviting IICRC members, key partners and technical experts across the spectrum of their training & certification interests to advocate for standards associated with protecting military families from mold infested living conditions. That’s a lot. Speakers highlighted the current situation afflicting military families in privatized housing that regrettably doesn’t align or adhere to HUD based 8a housing for inspections, remediation or standard of care when problems arise. Our military families, & all our citizens, deserve solutions that restore their living conditions to condition one to reduce the negative health impacts seen in dozens of examples.
