IAQA – Indoor Air Quality Association – held their 2026 annual conference and exhibition in Carlsbad, CA., 30 APR-3 MAY 2026. Those who attended saw a professional set of presenters representing various aspects of the industry showcasing longstanding problems, old and new solutions with the tacit understanding that if you want better air quality in your home or business it is by deliberate efforts you achieve those results. Interesting discussions on the impact for society and communities centered on building a sustainable program addressing needs of tenants in low income housing where children at risk suffer multiple health challenges surrounding their living conditions. Are there methods to address those? According to Children’s Mercy, Kansas City, MO there are programs achieving better results suggesting long term betterment for the children, families and communities. Inspiring others to embrace the science, the methods and the commitment to bring better air to our lungs was highlighted by the American Lung Association who has done longitudinal studies to show how reducing poor air health impacts leads to better potential for healthy living and lower societies’ burden in caring for avoidable disease, chronic suffering and decaying quality of life.
